Acting U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson said Monday that the suspect in the shooting of multiple Minnesota lawmakers, Vance Boelter, “stalked his victims like prey” in what Thompson called the “stuff of nightmares.” Boelter has been charged with “an array of federal charges.” Melissa Hortman, a former Minnesota House Speaker, and her spouse were shot and killed early Saturday in their Minnesota home. A second state lawmaker, Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, were shot multiple times in Champlin.
