Carney attends Eid celebration, reflects on Afzaal family and calls for unity

On Friday, Prime Minister Mark Carney joined hundreds at an Eid celebration hosted by the Muslim Association of Canada in Ottawa. He paid tribute to the Afzaal family on the fourth anniversary of their murder, and denounced the rise of Islamophobia in Canada. Carney also acknowledged suffering in Gaza and emphasized the shared values of faith, generosity, and unity across communities.
